Phone message for the week of June 4th

This information is for the week of June 4th:

Promotion rehearsal will take place tomorrow, June 4th and the promotion ceremony will take place Tuesday, June 5th at 9:00 a.m. Each 8th grader will only receive 4 tickets on the day of rehearsal. There are no extra tickets to give so acquiring more can only be done between families. 8th graders should plan to dress nicely for promotion and all attire must abide by the dresscode. No strapless or spaghetti strap dresses without a sweater or cardigan to cover. Girls should plan to bring their shoes for promotion practice.
 
There is a big change to our school Tuesday, June 5th due to the promotion ceremony. This week is finals week. Monday, June 4th school starts at 8 and ends at 12:30. Tuesday, June 5th school starts at 10:30 and ends at 3:00. Finally, Wednesday, June 6th (the last day of school) school starts at 8 and ends at 12:30. Only students who have Ms. Bacus, ride the bus, or are in our Village program may come to school Tuesday at 8:00 a.m.
 
This Thursday we will be donating all of our lost items to a local charity. Please encourage your child to come check the attendance office and see if he or she has lost something.

Some quick information about next year. Walk in registration will be held on Friday August 10th . This will be done alphabetically and information will be on the website. ALL data information will be done through your AERIES Portal starting on July 1st . This will need to be done before you come to registration on August 10th.
 
First day of school is Wednesday August 15th.

Lastly, the City of Monrovia MAP Youth Leadership Academy is recruiting participants. This is a 7-week program beginning in September and meetings take place on Wednesdays from 3-5pm. This gives students a way to learn new leadership skills aimed at improving the Monrovia community. To register, visit Eventbrite.com and search for the MAP leadership academy. This is great for any kid wanting to earn volunteer service hours and/or getting connected to new people. Information will be given in August during our registration day.
