This information is for the week of February 13th:

Congratulations to our two robotics teams who competed all day last Saturday at Monrovia High School.  The Hippie Bots and Rage Against the Other Machine have impressed this season with their quality of work, commitment, and collaboration. We are proud of each of you!
Pastries with Parents will occur this Friday and there are a couple spots left. This is a RSVP event for parents that will take place from 8:00a.m. – 9:45 a.m. Those that confirm their attendance will start the morning off with fantastic warm beverages and pastries while Clifton’s administration gives an overview of our instructional initiatives. This will be followed by an instructional walk to see the teaching and learning in action. Finally, we will return for a Q&A. If you are interested in having your child attend the Black Monrovia-Duarte Alumni Association art show at Wildrose on Saturday, 2/17 from 12:00-4:00 p.m., please return the lower portion of the flyer sent home last Friday to the Clifton main office by Tuesday to reserve your spot. We will also be celebrating Black History month here at Clifton with a movie showing in the evening of February 22nd . More details next week.

All English learners will be taking a very important test this week and will be pulled from their classes to do so. This test is to measure their English proficiency and is very important. Please encourage your child to give their best on this very important test.
We are proud of our Renaissance leaders Ashley Godbold and Savannah Almiron who will lead the pledge at the Board Meeting Wednesday night.

Come support soccer this week boys play at home Tuesday at 3:30 and girls play at home Thursday at 3:30. Root us on to victory against First Avenue.
There is a PTSA meeting on Thursday night in Room 5 at 7:00 p.m. Parents – we need you and your involvement so please consider attending.
Our week will end with a fantastic Renaissance academic rally to celebrate many deserving students for many different reasons. We are proud of our most valuable cubs doing the right thing, working hard, and being CPR. This assembly is to honor them and their efforts!
Studio Movie grill tickets are still on sale and are only $8 a ticket. Forms are located in the main office and this is a great opportunity for a huge discount on movie tickets. Proceeds support our amazing PTSA.
If your child needs academic help, send them to tutoring every day except Wednesdays from 3-4pm.

There is no school next Monday, Feb. 19th in observance of President’s Day.
Also next week, we have our Grub with the Cubs for the month. On Wednesday the 21 st , plan to have lunch and shakes and dinner at Sonic (the one by Target) from noon to 8PM.
