Phone message for the week of 5/18...

This information is for the week of May 18th:

The semester is drawing to a close and we want all students to finish strong. Please ensure they are plugged in and continuing to work to raise that GPA in time for report cards.

The weekly meetings for parents being held by the Monrovia Unified Instructional Specialists continue. You can easily access the meeting information by visiting the MUSD Distance Learning Platform website at www.monroviaschools.net and click on the MUSD Distance Learning Platform button and then look for the Parent/Guardian Zoom Office Hours information.

8th grade families – If you have not made your appointment to pick up your 8th grade yard sign, call the office anytime to arrange a time. There are just a handful of people we have not heard back from.

Our item collection event is set. 8th grade is next Tuesday, May 26th , 7th grade is next Wednesday, May 27th , and 6th grade is next Thursday, May 28th. Arrival times are by last name so please see the flyer posted to Parent Square for detail. We need to collect all textbooks, library books, 8th grade chromebooks only, athletic uniforms, and instruments. We will be allowing students to access their PE lockers to retrieve their belongings as well. There are strict guidelines that will be sent out in order to participate which includes wearing a mask and standing on all taped markers to ensure social distancing. Please start to organize those items for next
week.

We are proud to announce that Mr. Tim Weed will be joining the Clifton team to teach advanced band and strings next year!

We are sad to announce that Ms. Marilyn Smith has made the tough decision to retire. We wish her the very best and thank her for her 34 years of service to Clifton.

Information about the 8th grade recognition and banner signing event will be sent out soon.

Please be aware summer school invitations have been sent and those invited are highly encouraged to attend through distance learning. Make sure to accept the invitation.

6th and 7th graders are able to keep their chromebooks throughout summer and we will be providing enrichment opportunities as well through our Clifton learning hub located on our website.

Next Monday is Memorial Day so you can expect no online expectations that day. Please note the last day of school is Wednesday, June 3rd.

Don’t forget to sign up for Parent Square. This is how we are communicating updated and new and important information.

Stay healthy Cub Nation!
